Can you hold a place before I apply?
We are able to hold a property with the owner’s permission if your application, security deposit and first month’s rent is paid. However, we can not hold a property before your application is submitted and approved. -
Do I pay first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?
Your rent is a separate payment from your security deposit. Your security deposit is returned to you within 15 days after the end of your lease period. Any damage caused to the property during your tenancy will be deducted from the security deposit. -
How old do you have to be to apply?
You must be 18 years or older to apply for a rental or you may have a parent or guardian apply on your behalf. This parent or guardian must go through the application process and they shall be responsible for your use of the property. -
Is the deposit refundable?
Your security deposit is returned to you within 15 days after the end of your lease period. Any damage caused to the property during your tenancy will be deducted from the security deposit. -
Who needs a cosigner?
If you do not have a credit history or do not meet the minimum rental qualifications, you can have a cosigner apply who shall be responsible for your use of the property. -
You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?
Simply go to our website and apply via the online application or you can also request a hardcopy application from the property manager handling the account. -
How do I pay rent?
You can pay rent via the online portal or you can mail a check to Choice Advisors Property Management at 1440 Kapiolani Blvd Suite 1015 Honolulu, HI 96814. Rent is due by the 1st of each month. -
I want to get a pet. What do I do?
If there is a property in which the owner is allowing pets, there is an addendum to the rental agreement which must be completed and a pet deposit equivalent to one month’s rent is required. -
I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What do I do?
Your roommate will have to apply for the rental and qualify on their own to continue staying in the property. -
My lease expiration is coming and I want to move out. What do I do?
Please notify your property manager at least 30 days prior to your lease expiration in writing and review the move-out instructions for tenants. If you do not provide written notification at least 30 days prior to your lease will convert into a month-to-month rental. Please verify with your specific rental agreement. -
Who is responsible for paying for repairs & maintenance requests?
If there is damage to the property by you as the tenant or one of your guests, this is your responsibility. See the tenant maintenance checklist.
